Neena Gupta is a two time National Award winning actor, filmmaker, producer and television personality. She has an MA in Sanskrit from Delhi University and a gold medal winner in theatre from National School of Drama (NSD). In 2022 she was also honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award in acting.

She started her career in Delhi’s booming theatre scene in the 80s but decided to switch to film and television after acting in the 1982 Academy award winning Gandhi. From there on there was no looking back as she starred in several critically acclaimed television shows such as Khandaan and Mirza Ghalib. She also worked extensively in art house films and independent films such as Mandi, Trikal and Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron.

Neena has directed, produced and acted in several television shows including Saans, Siski and Son Pari. In 2001 she was selected to be the India host of the UK’s widely popular show, The Weakest Link, called Kamzor Kadi Kaun.

Her role as a pregnant middle aged woman in Badhai Ho! was widely appreciated and regarded as one of her best performances yet. She went on to receive major roles in films such as Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan and Panchayat in India, and The Last Colour an internationally acclaimed independent film by Michelin star chef, Vikas Khanna. Her latest Netflix series Masaba Masaba is amongst the top watched shows on the platform.

Kuriakose Vaisian has been a lifelong comic book fan, growing up on a steady diet of Tinkle, Amar Chitra Katha, Archies, Asterix, and Tintin, eventually graduating to the Marvels and DCs of the world.
